Following this, Turturro directed his second documentary, focusing on the untold stories of Argentine pilots who participated in World War II. Supported by the Argentine Embassy in Canada, he traveled to interview surviving pilots and explore their extraordinary experiences. The project was showcased in Canada, earning recognition for its unique perspective on a lesser-known chapter of history.

Building on this momentum, Turturro embarked on Robotech: Proyecto Valkiria, a fan film that captivated audiences with its innovative approach to the beloved franchise. Despite its initial success, the project was halted after receiving a Cease and Desist order. However, this setback caught the attention of Harmony Gold, the company behind Robotech. They invited Turturro to join the ambitious Robotech Academy project, an official continuation of the franchise. As part of this endeavor, he participated in California's prestigious Comic-Con, presenting alongside the creators and engaging with the global fan community.
